Bishwobeena—Harmony with Tagore Inc. is an organization formed by a group of Bengali origin first generation Australian migrants with the promise of stimulating cultural harmony and promoting multiculturalism in Australia through literary and musical creation of Asia’s first Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore. Though very young the organization has already made its mark because of the uniqueness in their presentations. Their latest venture was staged on the 20th November, Sunday evening in Quakers Hill Community Centre. Taking inspiration from Tagore’s scriptures, it focused on the eternal but contemporary theme of light and darkness and natural bi-polarities in human and nature. A magnificent team of Gen Y and Gen Z performers showcased exceptional renditions of songs and literature blended with beautifully choreographed dance pieces. The evening was highly appreciated by a culturally inclined audience not only because of the unparalleled quality of presentation but also for the immaculate aesthetics reflected in set and costume design.
